i'm not giving up, i'm just giving in

I've had a crazy weekend away at Bestival and my whooping cough has developed into some kind of horrendous chest infection of doom. But at least this means I can spend the next few days fiddling around editing the photos that I've taken over the summer, as well as getting on with the horrendous amounts of reading I need to do before heading back to university, guilt free that I should also be spending time socialising. Third year seems so big and important and scary, and I'm using that as my excuse for stalling at page 52 of Dicken's Pickwick Papers, but with 700+ pages to go I really do need to get my skates on!

If you remember I said that I finally got a beaaaautfil DSLR for ma bday, and it really is gorgeous and possibly my favourite thing ever! It just requires working out s l o w l y how to use it. These are the snaps I took on the very first day of owning it! Tell me what you think!

As you can see, I was just mooching around my front room with my mum, my boyfriend and my babydawg, Kiera, watching the amazing Babe on TV! Love that film. Kiera is the furriest little sheep right now, she is so so adorable. She was my 7th or 8th birthday present (no one can remember which) and as this was my 21st she is an old, old girl, but the happiest dog I have ever met! She is blind and deaf, has arthritis and no top teeth, but she will lick your feet to pieces if you let her and follows everyone around demanding scratches. She copes amazingly, all things considered, and she's pretty much the love of my life!!

The bunting was made by my mum's friend as a birthday present and I adore it! I'm definitely taking it to uni with me to adorn my room. It is really thick and sturdy, much better quality than anything I've seen in the shops, and the '21st' is only ironed on so that I can remove it and update it according to birthday/special occasion. Amazing!

Last but not least, check out these stonking new heels that Dan bought me! They are uh-mazing. They are so high yet so comfortable because of the humungous wedge. They're Topshop and I recommend you buy them for yourself IMMEDIATELY.

    1. Gorgeous aren't they! I'm almost scared to wear them in case I ruin them or (more likely) topple over!
